Do I have to be crafty to attend your workshop?


No, absolutely not! In fact, I love to have people come to my workshop who have never crafted before. It's so fun to watch the amazement on their face when they see their finished project.




How long does a workshop last?


Each workshop is scheduled for 3 hours. Depending on the detail of your project, it is very possible to be finished before that time. Please know that the last thing I would do is to rush a crafter...everyone should feel free to work at their own pace.




How do I let you know what I would like for a design on my project?


After you have completed the booking process, I will have your email information and will be contacting you for any further design ideas you may have (i.e., clipart, personalization, etc.). Also, please feel free to email me (teresa@designstotreasure.com) any images that may give me an idea of what you are looking for. My wish is to design a stencil that helps you create the project you have envisioned. (Please Note: You may need to look for my Reply email in your Spam/Junk folder)




Do you have a timeframe for booking a workshop?


Yes. I request that registrations be completed no later than 7 days before the date of the workshop. This will give me the time I will need to acquire the materials and create the stencil for your project.




Do I need to bring anything with me to the workshop?


No. Everything that you will need to complete your project will be supplied at the workshop. Just come with a thought process that you are ready to have some fun, knowing that in just a few hours you are going to be going home with a treasure made all by yourself.




How do I know what measurements to give you for my project?


The best way to figure this out is to look at the space in which you will be utilizing your project and measure that space.




How much does a project cost?


Most projects are $50*, with the exception of the Noodle Boards which are $65. Please refer to my Specials page for other special offers. *If the dimensions of a project exceed 24" x 24", there will be extra costs depending on the overall size.




Can children participate and if so, what is the age limit?


I have set the minimum age at 13, as I feel that this might be too overwhelming for the younger children. This is such a fun experience, and I would want you to be able to enjoy yourself without distractions.




Do you offer group rates?


Yes. How much fun would that be to attend a workshop with a group of friends! If it is a group of 5 or more, each crafter will get their project 20% off.




What if my project doesn't turn out?


The last thing I want is for you to be unhappy with your project. Due to the expense of the materials already used, I will not be issuing refunds...instead, arrangements will be made for you to return at another date so we can fix it and you can take home that treasure you always wanted.




Can I bring outside food and drinks?


Yes, absolutely! I will also have movie-style popcorn and a wide assortment of cold beverages, including bottled water, to help keep your creative juices flowing.




Can I schedule a special workshop for a party?


Yes, I would love that! Currently, I do still have a full-time job and so weekend days are more convenient for me...BUT there are random weeks where I do have weekdays off. The best thing to do would be to email me (teresa@designstotreasure.com) and we could work something out. (Please Note: You may need to look for my Reply email in your Spam/Junk folder)




Would you be willing to travel with your workshop?


Yes, absolutely! If you have a group of 5 or more crafters, I would love to bring my workshop to you. I do charge a travel rate of $100 -- this will help with the travel expense and extended time that I will need for setting up and breaking down...BUT you will also be receiving the group rate of 20% off each project.




Can I pick my own design?


Yes, absolutely! I believe that this will be one main reason why you will enjoy my DIY Wood Workshop compared to others, as you have free reign of what your design will be...you just let me know your ideas and I'll create the stencil based around your input.




Do I have to put my project together?


No. The only exception is the pallet sign project, as that consists of multiple planks that may be aligned in a few different ways. Please Note: There are no power tools used in my workshop...only hammers and screwdrivers.




Do you have a cancellation policy?


Yes. Because of the materials acquired and the time to design the stencils, I unfortunately do not accept cancellations. Instead, your registration fee may be applied to a DIY Wood Workshop for another date. Thank you for understanding.




Where are your workshops located?


Currently I am running the workshops out of my 3-car garage at my house, which is located Northeast Colorado Springs. For more details, please feel free to contact me.




Do I have to pay for the workshop when booking?


When booking I do require a $50 registration fee, which will be applied to the total cost of your project. If there is a balance remaining, that will be due on the day of the workshop.
