Designs to Treasure

        Raise your hand if you have ever walked into a home decor store and seen something that you just loved but then thought to yourself..."Why spend that money - I could make this myself"...and then you find yourself at the register buying it anyway? For years, that was definitely me...that is before a friend got me hooked on Pinterest...OH HELLO!...need I say more?! I don't know about anyone else, but I could hang out on that website all day...hahaha!

       Well, in 2016, I was once again in that situation when my husband and I built a new house and I had a nice clean slate to work with to add that rustic farmhouse touch that I love. I saw sooo many things I wanted for my house but at the same time, I didn't want the cookie-cutter decor that everyone else was buying...I wanted more custom-designed and personalized decor. It would probably be safe to say that this is when I decided to experiment with some DIY projects and was all-in...I mean, I would even take my dog for a walk in the neighborhood and come back home with my dog-on-leash in one hand and a wood pallet in the other...hahaha! I might have gotten a little too crazy with all of it as I don't have any wall space or tabletop space left to decorate...YIKES! What's a girl to do now?!

 

       Because I love that feeling of excitement and satisfaction when I have been able to create a special piece of home decor, I would like to offer that opportunity to others. With that being said, I figured this would be a great time to share some of my little tricks to help others create some beautiful home decor that they can be proud of and treasure. I truly enjoy doing these DIY Workshops; it is fun to see how creative others can be with their ideas, as you have free reign to whatever you want to design on your project.

       My workshops can also be used as a team-building activity...it's a great social event and everyone gets to leave with a treasure...WIN-WIN!
